Our youth are facing tremendous challenges today! The increasing demands confronting youth are causing us to examine our purpose and ways we work with and for young people.
4-H is building partnerships with young people and communities – one community at a time. These partnerships can help solve the problems youth and communities face. It is an investment in better citizens, which is an investment in a better community, state and nation.
Public money from federal, state, county and local sources provides professional staffing and offices for Logan County 4-H. However, only private support can provide the funds to maintain and broaden 4-H programs. The Logan County 4-H Foundation was established in 1968 as a non-profit fundraising cooperation. Many fine businesses and individuals in Logan County have been generous in their support, realizing that their patronage is more than a contribution.
The donations provided by many businesses and individuals allow 4-H members of all ages to have many experiences. Whether it’s a trip to Washington D.C. or a leadership conference, the funds donated to the Logan County 4-H Foundation help these members with funding for their trip. The 4-H Foundation also provides scholarships for members getting ready to attend college or for previous members that are already enrolled in college.
Do you want to make a difference and help a 4-H member? Stop into the Logan County Extension Office and pick up one of their donation brochures. Any donation is appreciated and will be put to good use. If you want your donation to go to a specific place, the 4-H Foundation would be happy to put that money where you want it.
